The painting I am holding was commissioned in 2020 so isn't for sale, but is one of the many I have painted from photographs taken by photographer, Dave Burden with his blessing. Dave Burden isn't on line but does have a Facebook page where you can see many of his fantastic wildlife images.

An art lover from day one
Well, I do hope you're not disappointed, but this is it. Little old me, on my own and keen to make an impression. It would be great to say that everyone is impressed with everything I do, but that wouldn't be realistic, and it certainly wouldn't be art, would it?
I do try to reinvent myself from time to time and I am trying new styles all of the time. Meanwhile, it's nice to meet you.

My website predominantly promotes my artwork, but, me being a product of HMS GANGES I have finally completed a fictional book, 'A Nozzer's Tale' based on my time as a fifteen year old novice (nozzer) sailor, one of many who underwent the harsh regime of naval training that turned boys into men. A must read for all you ex-Ganges ratings, this, along with my fictional novel 'Designated Rogue' about a Pirate in the era of Elizabeth 1, and although I say it myself, its a real cliff-hanger. These, and my children's books are not on the website but can be bought on AMAZON (ken hayward books). Interesting fact; the galleon was painted in order to produce a cover for the book Designated Rogue.
