I'm Ken Hayward, and I have created kakhandedart as a platform on which to display the many paintings I have produced over the years.

About kakhandedart
Like most artists, my passion for drawing, sketching and painting stems from an early time in life when I learned not to eat the pencil and put images onto paper instead. Initially the inevitable career took precedence but there's no stopping the urge to produce beautiful things. Nearing retirement, I decided it was time to concentrate more on desire rather than necessity and produced kakhandedart to enable me to share my paintings with you. I hope you like what you see, if you do why not drop me a line, if you have any comments or queries, do the same. Either way it will be nice to hear from you. Enjoy.
Interesting fact: It's 2025 and I am happy to add an ever growing section of chess art. All painted by me, of course and there is a great variety of boards and pieces for you to choose from.

My Art
My paintings are predominantly acrylic on canvas, although there are variations. The subjects can be landscape, animals, or whatever I see and take a fancy to, or in some cases things that I have been commissioned to paint, so I can safely claim diversity. The latest additions to my catalogue are unique chess sets, all hand painted and signed before finishing with a durable double coat of epoxy resin to give an excellent gloss finish.
