Skull and Crossbones is one of a series of chessboards I am producing. All of the boards are of different subject matter, hand painted and unique. This board portrays the Pirate's battleground, contrasting the blue/grey Carribean sea against transparent blue squares designed to enhance the background elements. The gold compass surrounded by a guardian of skulls gives the board a chilling pirate themed finish.
The board dimensions are: 40cm x 40cm square with a table height of approximately 40mm, is finished with two coats of high gloss, epoxy resin to give it that final burst of colour and comes boxed.
Individual squares are approximately 42mm squared.
The underside of the board is finished with a felt covering and has four brass effect legs.

The board is finished with two coats of epoxy resin which gives a high gloss finish. It is not recommended that cleaning products containing toxic, or aggressive materials are used on the surface. A soft cloth, warm water or a recognised resin polish may be used.
Although the epoxy coating can withstand temperatures of up to 90 degrees, it is not recommended that any hot vessels or any extreme heat are applied.
The purchase price of each board does not include chess pieces but does include package and posting.
