These Gothic pieces are carefully hand painted by me, to create a metallic, tarnished aged effect in keeping with the character of the pieces, and finished with a satin, or matt coat for extra durability and shine.
Made from Resin stone, the heft of each piece can be appreciated and, when handled with care, will last a lifetime.
The width of each piece varies between 22mm and 25mm, the King's height is 92mm and the Pawn 62mm approximately.
All pieces have a felt base to give that extra protection to your chess board.
As with my other chess pieces I will make your set to order and can produce them in a variety of colours, suggested effects can be steel metalic tarnished, bronze metalic tarnished, verdigris, rust, and my latest creations, blue & green glaze. although I am open to suggestions. Due to the complexity of creating original finishes, a full set can take up to ten working days to complete.
The pieces are protected by two coats of satin varnish and can be cleaned using a soft cloth. It is NOT recommended that domestic cleaning products with toxic elements are used.
